2015

FB Rolls s.r.l. was founded at the end of 2015 from the need of a generational handover of torneria F.B. di Bignami Giorgio s.a.s.

The company, operating from 1979 in the field of mechanical works on customer's drawings and specialized in the area of equipment for rollforming lines.

This company passes the baton to FB Rolls, that proves able to carry on with the activities engaged by the previous management.
Thanks to the same team and the same manufacturing structure, it is a reference point alongside the territory, not only for the regeneration and construction of rolls for tubes, but also of rolls and equipment for special open and closed sections, as well as of rolls and equipment for the manufacturing of rims for the automotive industry.

FB Rolls also offers a project analysis of equipment for tube mills and rollforming of open, closed and special sections by finite element analysis (fea). This method enables to obtain the best control of any detail, and the customer to reduce setup costs and time during the realization of the final product. FB Rolls is specialized in the construction and regeneration of rolls and equipment for the production of welded tubes. It can design them or they can be produced on customer's drawings. In any case they're optimized for any kind of sections and welding operations.

FB Rolls is able to offer rolls and equipment for the production of special sections, of its own design or on customer's drawings, suitable for any kind of application. Thanks to an advanced know-how, it provides rolls for the production of any type of section, also for high strength materials profiling.

FB Rolls produces and regenerates, on customer's drawing, rolls and equipment for the production of automotive rims, for agricultural and earthmoving industry.
It also realizes rolls, deep-drawing moulds and expanders for the production of small and big rims.

To match customer's manufacturing necessities tool steel rolls must be subject to the appropriate heat treatment (e.g. hardening, tempering, strengthening, carburizing, nitriding etc.). This processes are performed by specialized and certified companies to achieve the required hardens and ensure the best quality. If needed, some rolls can and undergo to coating and polishing operations after the heat treatment.
For this processes, FB Rolls relies only on very professional companies, to not compromise the material hardens and to avoid deformations.
All this enables us to offer the best possible product to our customers.

All working surfaces are ground, so that rolls produced by FB Rolls can have a longer life and ensure the best performance.
FB Rolls uses first quality materials, supplied by highly specialized and/or certified companies. In particular tool steel, some bronze alloys and cast iron.

Project

FB Rolls' skills are not restricted to the regeneration of existing equipment and do the construction of sets of rolls on customer's drawing from the beginning. Thanks to its inside technical department, they also extend to the feasibility study of equipment for tube mills and machinery for the production of open, closed and special section.

Such service enables FB Rolls to be a cut above its competitors and to give substance to projects and ideas. Therefore all final customers can be satisfied, even those who can't perform the design process on their own.

FB Rolls invests money and time in looking for an always more advanced know-how and in the best technologies available on market to reach this aim.

Thanks to these peculiarities, FB Rolls can design new equipment, optimize the existing one and offer consultation on the sheet forming processes, on the choice of the most appropriate construction material according to the various applications and on raw material characteristics in order to obtain a quality finite product.

As far as the production and regeneration of rolls on customer's drawing, any design step is checked in all its details too: a highly qualified and constantly updated personnel examines and carefully registers data of the machinery to equip (if they are not provided by client) directly at customer's plant before shaping, each design is verified by forming process simulation with finite element analysis (fea). This stage is very important since it enables to optimize the project in all its details, racing setup costs during the realization of the final product.

FB Rolls also offers a first run assistance service for the equipment it designs. It represents a further support in finding a solution to possible problems which could erase during the first run of the new tooling.
